Back to life, Back to reality

Back to the here and now of it. Man, I loved that song. I jumped into the thick of things today. Swimming lessons training, swimming lessons tests (which I think I bombed...ooops!), Lifeguard class, pool scheduling, now, studying for the swimming lessons (another test tomorrow) and studying for the lifeguarding. And it's already 10:00. Thank goodness for the dinner break during the lifeguarding, or I wouldn't have seen my husband today. I'm feeling totally swamped and stressed, but I know if I can just make it to Friday night, I'll be fine.

Good news, I found a good replacement wedding band. Nope, I didn't lose mine. The girls at the pool told me that being in the super chlorinated water so much will loosen the the stones. I wasn't super excited about wearing my rings at the pool this summer anyway, so now I'm looking for a band to wear. And I'm picky. Have I ever mentioned that Chris is awesome? He went to every single jewelry store at the mall looking at bands for me while I was at the  lifeguarding. And then I came home and found one for a third the price of the ones at the mall on QVC, and I'm totally in love with it. And, It's only $47! Hot dog!!

I was mildly nervous about the rescuing of victims during LG class - I'm not quite in the same shape I was last time I did all this stuff, but it came surprisingly easily. I did get a little more winded than I'd like, but I was doing better than most of the other kids (yes, I'm the geezer of the group) and for sure better than the other two girls of the group (never mind that they only weighed a buck-five dripping wet, I'll take my small victories). Funny note, we three girls (me and the two sophmores in high school to be) all had the same suit on. So, now I'm off so schedule and then study. And all I wanna do is scrapbook. Dadgum adultness....it stinks sometimes!
