Waterway Robbery

So, I'd planned to update daily on the progress of our fabulous vacation. Well, the vay-cay is truly fab, but they charge you 55 cents per minute for internet. If you get the package deal, it's 47 cents. I got the package, but as of now, have used it up as we had to deal with some excursion debacles! Needless to say, I'll be rehashing the entire trip day by day upon our return.

Sit on the edge of your seat with baited breath!

the best Tourist Office in the world

Here we are in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and we've found the best Tourist Info office in the world. If you're ever here, check it out...seriously. they have free rum drinks. We've been all around Old San Juan today and decided to go over to another section of town and do the Rum Factory tour and as we were on our way, it started raining (apparently this is the rainy season - so says the cabbie Jose). So, we popped into the tourist information office to wait out the rain and find out exactly which pier we needed. Good thing we stopped as the factory is closed until Monday for renovations.

While Chris was talking to the guy with lots of bottles of rum in front of him, the man mentioned that we could have a free sample. And sample we did!! It kept on raining, so we kept on drinking. We tipped the guy a dollar per drink, and as I told Chris, it was the cheapest drunk I've ever had. Rum and pineapple + passion fruit juice, 2 pina coladas and a sangria + rum + lots of yum! Chris had a spiced rum + coke (a couple of times), a sangria + rum, and a mojito. Let me tell you, those pina colodas were the best I've ever had! And I've lived in Mexico!! Is there something wrong with the fact that the free rum + air conditioning was one of the very best parts of our day?

Long live the blog

I'm resurrecting the blog for our next big adventure! Puerto Rico & a southern caribbean cruise. Here's the view from our room when we arrived last night.
